How to judge whether the canister is invalid ?

In chemical production, sewage treatment, metal refining, papermaking, dyestuff, pesticide, medicine and other industries, gas mask is one of the most commonly used respiratory protective equipment for workers. It can protect our respiratory system from toxic and harmful substances. Haigu filter type gas mask is mainly composed of mask and filter canister. The main function of filter canister is to absorb and filter the poisonous gas in the air. Ensure that the gas breathed by the staff is non-toxic. The activated carbon in the canister is not always effective. When it absorbs too much toxic gas, the canister will fail. At this time, we need to replace the canister.  How to judge whether the canister is invalid ?

To judge whether the filter canister fails or not, we can use the filter caniter failure detection device, which is composed of gas detector and hose white cover interface.

1. Select the corresponding type of gas detector according to the type of protective gas of the canister

2. Connect the detection device accessories, filter canister and gas detector

3. Open the sealing plug at the bottom of the canister and start the gas detector to keep the gas path unobstructed

4. Observe the reading of the detector. If the poison gas concentration of the gas detector does not reach the standard penetration concentration of the filter, it means that the filter can still be used normally.

Take the carbon monoxide canister as an example. For example, if the penetration concentration of the carbon monoxide filter is 50ppm, and the reading of the detector exceeds this value, it can be judged that the carbon monoxide filter has failed to penetrate. It should be stopped and replaced immediately. No more than this value means that the filter can still be used normally. It is suggested that a filter replacement schedule should be established to prevent gas penetration in time.
